Chelsea Darrach

Physiotherapy, Functional Dry Needling, Exercise Therapy

Chelsea was born and raised on Canada’s east coast where she achieved a Bachelor of Science from the University of Prince Edward Island (2014). She then moved to Nova Scotia to complete a Master of Science in Physiotherapy (2016) at Dalhousie University. She moved to Calgary in January 2018 to expand her personal/professional network and experience new things.

Chelsea grew up playing competitive sports (softball, long distance running, basketball and volleyball) her whole life and has worked with multiple varsity sport and club teams as their trainer throughout her education degrees. Since moving to Alberta, she has fallen in love with the mountains and become very passionate about ski-mountaineering, rock climbing, trail running and mountain biking.

She has a particular interest in treating these types of athletes as she can draw on her knowledge of these outdoor activities to assist in their recovery and achieve their goals.

Chelsea’s physiotherapy practice incorporates a combination of manual therapy, exercise prescription, education, acupuncture and dry needling. She has completed training in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management as well McKenzie Method mechanical diagnosis and therapy for low back pain. She is pursuing more training in advanced manual therapy techniques and functional range assessment and conditioning.

She strongly believes in the importance of getting patients to be actively involved in their own recovery process and strives to provide the tools and knowledge necessary for them to recover from their injury/health condition as well as to prevent re-injury.”
